Circled in red
If that connects directly to the led, no, I don't have smth like that. But if it's a bit more upstream the wire, I might not have noticed it. Can you indicate on the same pic where the led is? Is it on the right side?

Well that led is cut off. But its basically goes led to what looks like a quick splice. The fuse line is connected to the splice. Spoke with another tech at another dealer. Seems something may have been added to the car. I left a message with the dealership i bought from to call me....

Maybe they started adding individual fuses for each led? Right now all foot well leds, rear-door strips and dome lights share the same 7.5 amp fuse. What manufacturing date is your car?

I doubt they would fuse inline for each LED. Does it look like the fuse line uses a quick tap into a stock line? The wires are hard to see in that pic.

Regardless, that shouldn't bother you. Or does it?

Thanks metrathon for the great write up and they install steps. Looking forward to this being my next mod. Did you look into replacing the rear foot well lights as well? Looking for info on steps to replace these. They seem to be in the front seats, but not sure how to get access to them to replace them.

don't know if it's mentioned but if you do use the rca approach, it's a good idea to connect the positive wires to the inner part and negative on the outer exposed part. I doubt the metal of the rca will ever touch another metal parts though.

Wanted to say thanks again for the great write up on the install metrathon. Installed my light this weekend. I went with blue and love the look. They are so much brighter. If you look at the first picture of the blue in the dark you can see the difference between it and the rear foot light. The rear is barely visible compared to the new front.
