Default Speaker with AUX issue/Bluetooth connectivity

Hello everyone, I just got my 2014 gs last week! I am still going to try things settling in. Anyways, when I used my AUX cord to play some music, I only hear the left speakers playing. I have no idea why, do I have to adjust something in the sound setting? It makes my music sound weird.
Another issue I have noticed is the lag for the Bluetooth connectivity. When I connect my phone to the Bluetooth to play music, sometimes it lags and the song would get choppy. I also have a 2011 RX 350 and the Bluetooth connectivity never had a problem like that.
Any suggestions on these problems?

Thank you!

For the aux problem, go to the aux mode and check your sound settings to make sure it is not skewed all the way to the left. Lexus allows you to have different sound settings for each mode. If that doesn't fix the problem, try your aux cable in your other car to make sure it isn't a cable problem.

I'm not sure about your problem with Bluetooth...what phone do you have?

You sir have either a faulty aux cable or most likely, you have a mono cable.

1 black ring = mono = metal tip, and one metal ring.
2 black rings = stereo = metal tip and two metal rings.

hope this helps!

Noted! I will switch the mono with a stereo cable. Thank you!

I will continue to use Bluetooth and see if the lag still occurs.

If Bluetooth is acting up, turn off wifi on your phone. Mine will pause and skip and act up every time it comes across someone's wifi connection around here and it is super annoying since in town, there are like 30 for every block.

May not fix your problem but worth a shot. And that aux problem is the cable not being seated properly, either in your phone or in your car. Shove that sucker in with conviction and gently turn it left and right a little to ensure it's seated.
