My average for that 135 miles was about only 26-27 miles per gallon. I was hoping I'd go over 30 mpg. My average: 70% city and 30% freeway is only about 17 mpg.
I've seen 31 several times cruising at that speed. Any chance you had a bit of a headwind? That can make a big difference.

Default A question about mileage

17.2 here lol. 80% city driving. I tend to hit the observed speed limit rather quickly though.

Good point. My tire pressure is set at 37psi.
When I first got my 15 GS, I was driving it like an old lady. There seemed to be dead spots while accelerating in normal mode when driving with a light foot. I would use the Eco mode a lot in rush hour traffic.
I was about to take my car in to find out why the hesitation in the Normal mode, but decided to switch gas brands first. Made a huge difference in the way the car drove. Now, I only buy gas from those on the top tier list (http://www.toptiergas.com/).
I have no problem on the highway getting rated (19 city/29 highway/23 combined) mpg, but city driving takes a lot of effort to get those results. Not worth the effort to me, so I switched my display so that I don't see the fuel economy anymore!

429 miles on my last tank, took 16.5 gallons to fill it (I top it off every time) = 26 mpg. 240 of those miles were hwy.

I pulled into the gas station with zero miles on the range screen once and put in 16.5 gallons (topped off). From that I guess you have a gallon reserve when the range goes to zero.

When I drive to NJ....300 mile straight shot, I get around 29-31MPG. Going to work I get 15-16 local, which is awesome cause my CLS55 was giving me 9MPG total lol

Akuma88, here's the picture I promised. Forgot to take it the last few times I filled up. Almost forgot to take it this time as well but quickly remembered after driving a bit. May want to get your car checked if your getting super low miles. I drive in normal mode btw.

My hybrid said I had 30 miles to empty (getting 30mpg) that should be one gallon left right? So I should have filled up with 16.2 gallons (for a 17.2 gallon tank). Nope, took 15.3 gallons to fill it. so I really had like 55 mile of range. This might be what your seeing.

Can anyone verify if in fact we have a 17.2 gallon tank?

The wife's 2011 V6 Durango gets 16 in the city and 22 on the highway (on a good day, bad day highway is 19). That highway # is 100% highway. That thing would never get 18.5 in the city (and it's slow as hell).

I do about 70% Hwy & 30% City and I usually average 20 to 21 mpg. I always drive in normal mode and haven't really messed around with the ECO Mode yet. Does the Eco mode really make a big difference?
