I've hunted everywhere for a press release for the IS300 and don't find it. There are apparently press released referring to the release in other countries but not the U.S. Could you please post a link to the U.S. press release. I'm curious as to what it is. What I found didn't even seem to know for sure what the engine was - possibly a hybrid???

Yes but when those German refreshes released, the deals most likely will make them not an option for many. GS will still sell regardless IMO.

2016 ES is already on the website http://www.lexus.com/models/ES

GS is as always late to the party like last year.

It'll still sell sure, but we don't want Lexus to be the car that sells because its so much cheaper than the other cars. I'd like to see them start leading.

Why they are so slow with this stuff is beyond me.

The new 2016 Accord already offers Car Play and Android support, I hope Lexus ups their game on this as well.

The IS300 (255 hp/236 torque) is just a detuned 3.5L V6 that only comes in AWD. The IS200t (241 hp/258 torque) only comes in RWD.

For future reference, Lexus always designates hybrid models with an "h" at the end.

Is this the MY that they start building the ES at the Camry plant in Georgetown, KY?

What is the point of the IS300?

I already put 5k on the side for the tail lights and front end conversion! Dont need to drop 40k more on a new car when my 13' has not hit 40k miles yet lol

Hope I dont need a new core support and ****, hopefully just bumper and headlights and grill.

Sounds like a good plan.

Yes, there are a couple that the higher ups are driving around the plant without the Lexus badges that were built during trials. SOP is think was pushed back to October.

Not to hijack the thread, but I was behind a BMW 528 at a light the other day and thought it was a fairly new one. Then I saw the sign in the window that said For Sale, and it was a 2011 model. I didn't even realize the current body style had been out that long. It still looks pretty good, so I guess the new model will be evolutionary.

I guess my S5 holds the record for longest running body style with only minor changes. 9 years with only a minor refresh. That's right up there with the Lexus SC's.

GS was never a big seller. So it's no surprise that Lexus is focusing on the ES and RX first.
I highly doubt that we would see any changes, they have their hands full this year. Plus, we have not seen a single test mule. Something, somewhere would have leaked by now.
