Default Rubbing and Tire Size Question

I am planning on ordering some 20x9 +32 Vossen wheels for my 13 GS F sport. A number of shops I called said the offset is aggressive and that the wheels will poke out a bit on the front (not flush). Also it would not rub on the stock setup but their is a potential for rubbing in the front after lowering the car with RSR downs. I called Need for Speed Motoring and on the employees who owns a 15 GS F sport said that his Vossens 20x9 +32 wheels did rub on RSR Super Downs.

Should I go with a +38?

Tire Rack lists 265/30/R20 as the optimum 20" tire for an AWD F Sport, I searched the forums and haven't seen a single person run this size. Is Tire Rack wrong? Whats the widest I can run without rubbing?

No, the 20x9 +32 is far from aggressive. The mid +20's offset is where it starts to get aggressive.

I have an AWD as well and my previous setup was 20x9 +34 / 20x10.5 +42. I was running 235/35/20 in front and 275/30/20 in the back with zero issues. The car was much lower than RSR downs though, I had RS-R coilovers at that time.

I had vossen vsf1 with +32 F and +45R and I used 245/30F and 275/30R with no issues. I'm on coilovers with one finger gap all around and no rubbing,

I am having rubbing issues on the GS450h with that setup. The wheel however sits nice and flush.

Personally, I would reccomend coilovers after the RSR spring experience. Especially those of J5 with AVS support. But they are quite expensive.
