Default How to remove map light assembly?

Ok, so, I'm trying to hardwire in a dash cam, and had the bright idea of grabbing a 12v source from behind the map light assembly on the roof of the car. However, I'm pretty sure it's not just clipped in -- I'm guessing that there are some screws keeping the map light up.

So, I thought it should be a simple matter of removing the lens covers to access where the lightbulbs are, in order to find the screws. But, I realized that I had no idea how to remove the lens covers without damaging them. They look like their in the map light assembly very tightly..

Does anyone have any info on how to properly remove the map light assembly from the roof of the car?

(Previous car was a Honda, and there's tons of documentation floating all over the net on how to remove any piece in the car.. Lexus seems to be way less easy to find the docs. Kinda a pain for those who like messing with their new cars )

I wouldn't want to mess with the map light. The whole assemble close to thousand to replace!

Try to tap to the rear view mirror wires, that will have both battery + and ignition for your dashcam.

Fair point... Any ideas on the right/best way to tap into the mirror power?
