I don't think 20s would be that bad. The Taurus SHO has 20s, as well as 300s and chargers and I'm sure many other cars. The A6 I wanted came with 21s. And probably the only good thing I can say about NM, our roads are probably the best I have ever driven on.

I'm sure by switching to 20s and getting a quality tire, my noise level would probably stay about the same. The stock tires are loud.

It makes a difference. If there is wind noise, you're right the reason for it being there will still be there, but the same improvements in ambient noise help with how muted that wind noise will be too.

I found that in general the Luxury GS was quieter on the road in all ways than the Premium GS. They had a REALLY marked down Premium on the lot when I bought mine and I tried really hard to like it.

The problem is the bigger rims u go the thinner ur tires will be and that won't be so pot holes friendly. Maybe those cars have bigger wheel well and their wheel diameter is bigger too, so more room for more meaty tires.

I had a 14 Premium with double pane and when I got the 14 FSport with single pane I noticed a little more road noise. Not much but I can definitely tell that other car was a bit quieter.
