An unexpected addition to lowering my car this morning was that I picked up 3-4 MPG on the highway. I drive the same highway back and forth almost everyday so I know what MPG I get... Just had it lowered and I noticed a hearty 3-4 MPG more at highway speeds. And that's without an alignment yet.
Mine's an AWD so the difference in drop is slightly more than a normal RWD drop.
This is good news, as it's ammo to help build my case to the wife that modding saves us money in the long run.
use some fuzzy logic and don't show an actual number lol. I mean, imagine if you factor in the cost of coilovers, tires, chiropractor, etc... It would take about a few billion years to offset the cost (not factoring correct camber).
But the beauty of a nicely lowered car... priceless.
Looks are night and day... I'm amazed and fell in love with my car all over again. The ride feel is definitely not stock (again, mines AWD so it was extra floaty) but it's not bad at all. It's not a lowered rough feel.
