Last night our area was hit by the ice storm many of you in the US had experienced. Everything is covered in thick ice and we had the GS outside. What a terrific electrical and heating system on this car!

I had to saw a broken limb off a tree in our yard and so started the car up and turned the front and rear defroster and the wiper heaters on. My neighbours have a Mazada 3 and and the one across the street has a MB-E, both had their cars warming up for at least 5 to 10 minutes prior to my start-up. After about 7 or 8 minutes of sawing I noticed that much of the ice had broken up on the car so I did some light scraping and put the car in the garage. Both my neighbours spent at least another 10 minutes before they could safely move their cars. The wiper heaters in this particular situation really helped. Great heating system on the Lexus.

Do we know for sure this is correct? This is not my understanding of how the snow mode operates.
