Winter Tires
Hello,
I looking to buy winter tires.
I am thinking about purchasing Yokohama Ice Guard IG52C, via good price/drive/fuel economy value.
I am aware that lexus recommends 225-50-17, my Tire shop was suggesting that I go to a 225-55-17, to prevent tire damage in our cold Canadian Winter months.
Has anyone ever gone to that size? Will it fit?
As well, has anyone found the ride to be come smoother when going from 235-45-18 all season Michelin Primary Tires.
Thanks
Richard

going to a 55 on the sidewall will be a very small difference. You won't have any rubbing issues, and it should give you just a little bit more cushion for your harsh winters. Your ride will def be smoother with the 17's as well.
