Default 3M wrap

In the spirit of uniqueness, I decided to do this...

I think it looks great and gives the wheel more "depth"

When you do something like this, that not many would do, you expect mixed opinions, and I respect and welcome honest opinions, + or -! Seeing it in person is always the true test. What is "weird" about it though?

Thank you TP! Actually that is nicely put as it really fills in the "gaps" left by the 5 spoke design. Plus its not really apparent, it causes double takes where people say wtf, damn? But DAMN the front brake dust is so excessive, it just cakes on!

That's what this is about sometimes I guess, being one of the first to take that leap. And it was fairly cheap to do so if I hated it I would rip it off without being too angry. I really love the styling of the Lexus font though. My guy did a great job trying to match the machined finish w/ 3M brushed aluminum.

Design it right, and you could have it read Lexus while the rim is spinning Kinda cheesy though. LOL

To me, it draws attention to the wheels, and a loss of focus on the lines and curves of the body; a distraction.

Put the wheels on...step back... Further... What are u looking at? The wheels and not the car.

This link is the best I have right now, and it doesn't give you what you want. We are going to hit a mountain shoot soon hopefully. You have to scroll down the page a bit until you see my car/video (header to post is "559").

Yeah that would be trippy. Honestly, I went back and forth on what to actually put. I ended up choosing something that was uniform/symmetrical.

Yes, I gave you a up close and personal shot, which may give the impression that it is overpowering and takes away from body lines of the car the as someone mentioned below. That is really not the case. Pictures from my Iphone are deceiving I think.

It is 3M vinyl wrap, same material used to wrap cars, etc. As far as what it says, I could have done solely lexus and been happy with it as well!

I agree it draws attention to the wheels, but only slightly and only when the car is at a standstill. People that are looking at the car at a standstill have to do a double take because it really doesn't stand out like you might think. I need a pic from more of a distance. Even then you might still feel the same! We all perceive and focus attention on different things.

Here you go Sam. Just wanted to try and give you a step back shot. I am still happy with it :-)

It's not as bad as I thought but it's your car ... I still would keep it clean. You still can shave the quarter and add a 20mm spacers in the he rear. That would polish it off.
