Navi System missing destination assist

Default Navi System missing destination assist

Well I took my car in yesterday because the navi system is the destination assist icon.
The shop forman at Tustin Lexus thinks it is the hard drive in the system and has ordered a new one. Im also missing the Lexus Advisor app in the info app screen.

They tell me this is quite unusual and it is a first for Lexus. They have called the factory in Japan and they are working on a fix for it. Im quite concerned about it. Hopefully I will know more about it in a couple of days.

perhaps instead of taking apart your dash and replacing crap, they could have at least tried to update your firmware first.

This is interesting. Too bad you don't have pictures of the screen before you brought it in.

Yeah I must agree I would have had them try to do a software update. I'm so against Lexus taking apart my dash, as I don't want my dash to start creaking.

I have since talked to the head technology guy at Tustin and I said do not take apart the dash.
I told him that I don't think it is a hardware issue. I setup the car with the Lexus Enform people when I took delivery of the car. At least I thought I did. I traded in a 2010 RX-350 and took the remaing credit and placed it on my new GS4. The sos button lights green and I tested it the other day with my salesmen. The latest thing their doing is working with Japan to make sure the car is recieving the transmissions from Lexus Enform. Like a dummy I should have discovered this problem sooner. Attempts to update the software has apparently not worked.

In case anybody is interested my car is fixed. What was wrong was when the car came off the ship sombody didnt set the Enform account for the car properly. In fact the car had two Enform accounts programmed into it by mistake.
After working with Enform in Texas the specialist unpluged the DCM unit in back of the glove box and replugged back up. This unit is sort of the celular phone for the car that talks to Enform
and sets up destination assist and such.
So it all works now and I have my baby back with me.
