I noticed when I start the car and its in idle or just before I turn off the engine after driving that the engine noise is a bit louder compared to my truck or civic. Is it supposed to be like that ? Just wondering.....(first time Lexus owner)

 

The ticking noise is normal at idle. It's the sound of direct port injection.

 

Exactly, there is the now famous "sound of technology" thread here somewhere. I'm sure someone will find it and re-post it.

 

Im not gonna lie. My frs sounds better than my gs. It also has direct port injection, but its a boxer motor
The gs does sound mean wot
