Hey @jsch222 I am in St. Louis too in the Clayton/Richmond Heights area. I have only seen two 2013 GS out on the road here. Where are you located?
I'm over in Edwardsville IL - I have yet to see another one on the road. I drive around STL quite a bit for work. Where did you buy at? I bought at Munganest and they are awesome!

anything to get a chuckle out of you BN... i was curious as to why so i had to ask. after reading about it, it's supposed to be bad for your spine, neck, etc. it would be a hard habit to break. i would either always leave it in my back pocket or leave it in the cup holder.
We, men, always do crazy things, don't we? Now it explains why women outlive us.

Mungenast also, and I agree. Even though I am not too far from them their valet service was a major selling point.

I usually turn the car on, and let it warm up while walking the dog around the block... Feel like its better for the engine.

No real need to let them warm up nowadays. Mine is garage parked, so its always nice and warm.

Believe it about the wallet. I had a lot of back problems years ago, and a chiropractor told me to switch to a front pocket wallet/credit card case and when I did that and stopped sitting on my wallet, my back pain improved tremendously.

i never thought me taking out my wallet would cause a discussion. my pops always did it and i picked up the habit. but the real reason is that it is just more comfy. i guess i could always eat more and fill the back with more padding but...

oh and i definitely have forgotten my wallet in the car a few times initially. after that, it becomes a habit of giving myself the old patdown before i walk away from the car.

My rule of thumb is let it war up till the rpms go under 1k for any car, and your safe to go for normal driving, I would wait for normal operating temp to be spirited...

Maybe but I still feel letting it warm up does some good to the car. Try keeping your foot on the brake even after the car started. It feels as if the fluid flows better. I'm sure the same thing occurs inside the engine.

Thats in your head though. All manufacturers have said that there is no need to warm up the engine, all it does is waste fuel.

You won't hurt it by letting it warm up, if it makes you feel better go for it, but it doesn't do anything for you. If anything IMHO the engine is running cold longer when idling which increases wear.

Push the button, back out of the driveway and take off.
