Default Illuminated Door Sills - $425 Option - Photos

I posted in another thread that our special order GS came with three options we didn't order. Lexus didn't charge us for them. One of the options was Illuminated Door Sills. This option is $425 and if I am reading the web site correctly, the rear sills are different too. Still need to take the plastic off of it. IMHO, I would pass. There is not a lot there for that kind of money.

You can order from Sewell for $240, it not worth the price and effort since the rear won't illuminated.

On my '07 RX350, it come standard and illuminated both front and rear.

if all 4 were illuminated then it'd be worth it.

theres something similiar (but discontinued) for the 2gs, they are quite pricy nowadays

Thx for posting those pics. If it came on
a car I picked out, ok. Wouldn't kill a deal
for me if it wasn't on there.

I had the illuminated sill plates on a RX350.Nice at first but no big deal after while.Too expensive for two pieces.Should be on all doors but you can't beat free.

$240 isn't bad but I don't think these are plug and play like the RX was, though.

Yes, you right. It's required to remove some trim pieces to tap the foot well lights. If one smash up the stock factory door sills then worth the try to replacing with illuminated one.

I originally ordered these from Sewell, before they were released, but later cancelled. The amount of work that was required to install these wasn't worth the upgrade. I had the JDM illuminated sills on my 3GS where all 4 doors lit up...those were very expensive as well ($700).

If I'm not mistaken, the member from Canada...who may be a moderator, said he personally saw a 4GS that had all 4 doors light up...
