I am 67. In my 20's, I drove a Volvo 122S, a Triumph TR-6, and a Datsun (Nissan) 260Z. I traded cars more often then than twenty years later. I finally learned my lesson after multiple Porsches and Mercedes.

26 now. Got my GS on Sept 18, I was officially 25. The GS just has everything I want. The luxury, speed, and technology. Only thing is now whenever we watch Ironman or any other movie, my fam and friends don't look at me and say " hey that's your car!" It's like every other movie and 90% of celebs drive Audi.

Mike is right. Would be interesting to see actual demographics and compare to forum survey.

No matter. Looks like achieving its goal of attracting a younger buyer.

I'm 38 and plan to buy soon. Why? Because I have a job, a family, and sporty intentions. 4GS checks all the boxes, while feeling special and being totally reliable.

I'm 55, but I can't drive that speed (Google Sammy Hagar). When I was in my 20's I had a 280ZX and a Mazda RX-7, so I've always liked sporty cars. My father was a "car guy" and he took me to all the auto shows and to the dealers when the new models were introduced.

I went with my dad to buy his first true luxury car (aside from Cadillac) when he bought his '91 LS 400. I remember him saying it cost him more than his first house. He traded that for a '99 LS 400, right before he passed away. My first real luxury car was a 2001 Lexus GS, and I've been with Lexus, Infiniti and Audi since. I chose the GS F Sport because I still drive like I'm in my 20's (maybe faster). I'd love to be in my 20's again, but my GS will be paid off in February, so there are some advantages to living longer.

I give mad props to you guys in your 20's (and even 30's) for being financially stable enough to afford this car. I may be twice your age, but I won't be the guy poking in traffic in front of you. I will be the guy sounding the horn.

Agreed, but I think this poll is pretty accurate itself. If we re-group the poll into two groups, <30 and 30+, the picture would reflect what we may see in the public. IMO Lexus did their homework pretty well on the GS (and most of other models).

Default Happy New Year everyone!

I'm 63 and bought the GS because it was getting a bit difficult to get in and out of the IS-F and I was entranced by the improvement in technology from my previous '08 to the new '13. I sure miss the get-up-and-go though.....

19, but 18 when i got the 4gs.

I got my car a couple months before my 19th birthday. I fell in love with the GS when I saw the Super Bowl commercial for it.
I had an 2003 es300, and the weekend car that the family shared was an 05 H2 every lux option.
My sis had a 2000 RX300.
We sold all three cars and the parents got me the 13 GS and 13 RX **(her rx got wrecked at 600 mi), she got another 13 RX}

You, sir, are an inspiration for car guys everywhere that the desire for fun doesn't have to go away as we get older.

My dad had two LS's in his 70's. He loved the "barge" feel and drove it like a true senior citizen. He had a brand new '99 LS when he passed away and I chose to sell it and keep my Acura TL because I preferred the way the smaller car drove. I plan on driving something fun until they pry the keys from my hands. My 82 year-old uncle still drives a motorcycle and tells me he will only stop riding when he can no longer kick his leg over the seat.

Congratulations, and way to go!
