has anyone noticed the way the rear view camera is mounted. its at a awkward position which ruins visability especially when its dirty or wet. i have owned many cars with rear view cameras but never faced this issue anyone else having problems with this.
the camera on that hyundai looks kind of cool, James Bond type. i have no probs with my camera although when it rains visibility sucks.
Yeah, the camera on the Hyundai is cool - and is supposedly self-cleaning too. That being said, I'm always skeptical of moving parts that don't need to move. My wife's EX has a recall on the steering column mechanism since the regular lifting/lowering when you turn the car on and off wears the motor out much quicker.
My visibility issues are also mostly in the rain - I thought that's what the Op was referring to.

The vertical rearmost surfaces of a vehicle will tend to collect more dirt due to the air turbulence created by the transition to that surface. This is why hatchback-style vehicles come equipped with rear window wipers. I consider this problem to be common among most vehicles with conventionally-mounted rear view cameras. Some vehicles, such as the Nissan Altima, incorporate a cleaning system to mitigate this.
