The video doesn't do that intake justice. I tried to take a video like that when I had it on my 3GS and the sound just doesn't come through like it does when you're sitting in the car. This is one mod I will attempt again, once K&N finishes their R&D...mainly because I left that intake on my 3GS when I traded it in, so if I'm buying another one, I'll wait till they have one specifically for the 4GS.

Very true...It did not capture everything. It is actually much louder.

We have a sound creator? is that the extra pipe on the side of intake ? under engine cover?

Yup. That extra pipe is responsible for that growl you hear in the upper rpm range.

Thats what this thread is about. He used a 3 rd gen intake on a 4th gen GS. The f sport intake should fit If he used a reg intake on a 4 th gen GS.

My bad, my post was too vague.

I meant more if people encountered similar issues or problems with the heat shield from Lexus as oppposed to the one from K&N and such

I am considering removing the 4th gen sound generator (non-F-Sport) and replacing it with a 3rd Gen intake. Prefer something more quiet. So does the 3rdGen non-F-sport work on the 4th-Gen non-Fsport? and does it impact the warranty in any way?
