Default Key Fob Question...

When I get in my car and have both key fobs (mine on me and my wife's on her) the car acts as though it is defaulting to her key not mine. Mine is programmed to memory 1 while hers has not be assigned to the memory system yet.

The car has to be able to work properly when both keys are present. Any ideas?

I'm not sure how it would know... if both keys are within sensor proximity, they'll both be registered. I'm not aware that it has savviness to detect which is closer to the driver's seat or anything. Other than her putting hers inside some tin container or foil wrapper or something, I have no ideas...

lol

I figured out that if I approach the car and unlock it with the button on my fob it will know its me... I just don't understand why it defaults to hers (even after having it programmed to memory 2 the other day.

Oh well...
