I can't wait to see the interior of the 4GS. Judging by images of the LF-Gh interior, it looks like it will be a more edgy, luxurious design!

The interior does seem well done, steering wheel looks nice.
Perfect summary of MB, and the CLS in particular. Sad but true.

I think CLS looks splendid... although it is really not GS competitor.

4gs has got some serious competition to go up against. audi, bmw, mercedes, hyundai all have excellent mid-size sport sedans now.

and if 4gs is offered with awd as it probably will, they need to make the front wheels actually sit in the wheel wells.

The GS has had an AWD option since 2006. Unfortunately, it is one of the very few Lexus products with a reliability record below average, according to Consumer Reports.

you cant just blindly read CS... CS lowered AWD grade for things like Audio system, which is the same as in RWD, so nobody in GS forums have idea why exactly.

Nobody is having any AWD specific problems with GS.

I have always read the same thing about the AWD GS but never heard anyone on the forum have an issue with one other than vibration after they drop the car

People get irritated by 4GS' minimalistic design but if they were to get edgy with lines like BMW and MB, Lexus would just be docked for not being original and copying others.

Simply put, not everybody will be pleased but Lexus held the front lines and stood by their own original creation.

There is a big difference between the lines of BMW and Mercedes. Notably that the lines of the latest BMWs are very elegant and well done, and the Mercedes looks like a hack job.

To be fair to Lexus, it is not really viable for them to be distinctive in design. I stopped by JM Lexus, America's largest Lexus Dealer, the other day. It struck me that most of the customers were old, at least 50, and more in their 60s. I don't think you can market bold design to that core base.

Of course not everybody will be pleased, but hopefully it will be more than the few hundred that are currently buying this car on a monthly basis.

This is the one segment that Lexus has taken an absolute pounding from the E and 5 for the last several years and they need a competitive answer.
