I would prefer that the GS350 would allow me to reset when it starts figuring out fuel mileage like my 2015 Dodge Durango did, but that's water over the dam.
The best I have seen from my 2014 GS350 (around 100,000 miles, one owner in Texas) has been around 22 MPG. What is typical for y'all, and is there any way I can improve on that?
AWD or RWD? There are many factors that affect MPG. My 2013 AWD gets somewhere between 13 and 15MPG but I drive all local streets and short trips, less than 10 miles each way. I think I was able to get 22MPG once on a long road trip and not exceeding 75MPH often.
Best you can do is weight reduction, tires inflated to spec and driving not too aggressively. I have never gotten the advertised MPG with any Toyota and that includes the GS. Ironically my TT GX550 gets about the same gas MPG as the GS. 10 speed transmission and I don't drive it as aggressively as the GS.
I drive mostly highway-ish (long stretches in between stop signs), but there are times where I idle for a bit during my lunch break. I usually hit 19-21mpg overall.
right after I get gas, from city driving, I’m 17-19. Once I start commuting to work it’ll get above 20. It’s been like that since I got the car at 38k miles
OK. Yours is an F Sport, so maybe you're a bit rowdier than I am.
Poking around on the display under apps I found the MPG records, so I guess I'm doing typical mileage, and the 29 MPG highway is where you cruise downhill at 45 MPH.
I got 24 mpg coming back from SF a few days ago. 50 miles or so I was in bumper to bumper slowazz traffic. The 150 miles left I had my foot in it. 80-85 on the freeway and in Sport+ mode for the last 38 Smiles were in the twisties using the gears. I never get below 20-21. Mine is an FSport RWD with a lil over 60,000 miles.
2013 RWD. Have seen 32ishMPG on a 200KM roadtrip(fairly flat roads) and seen 17MPG in a week with many trips stuck in city traffic jams. On average i fill up about 40-42liters every 10-12 days. FC is never a concern to me. I've seen worse from my 2 previous german ***** :P
but then again our RON95 is usd0.50/liter.
AWD, I do a mix of city and highway. If I do more city driving I come in around 20 mpg, if I do more highway I end up around 22. I’ve seen 30 mpg on trips where I’m all highway using cruise control.
If I dont care how I drive it looks like the below. If I am more careful in the commute and use the grandpa mode, I can do 23-24.
And if I take a long trip and take it easy, I can get up close to 28. So, I just drive it how I feel like that day. The difference is just a couple bucks.

That's not too bad then. I'm getting that in a 4cyl sedan.
Haven't gotten a chance to drive my GS yet but is the mpg really that bad?
It depends on what you define as bad and how much you drive. My GS350 averages 15MPG and my GX550 averages about 13MPG. Both are driven 99.9% local. Does it bother me? Not one bit as I drive less than 3K miles a year combined.
