Default Cold Start Rattle/Tapping

Hi All,
I have a 2017 GS350 with 100,000km/62,000mi. Only on cold starts, it will have an intermittent rattle. This does not happen immediately after starting, but maybe 5-10 seconds afterwards. I have done an oil flush thinking it might be a lifter, but it could potentially be an injector...we have a 2019 GS350 with 60,000km that makes the exact same noise. It goes away after a minute or two of driving. More prevalent when in gear, low rpm. The videos were taken after a cold start, and putting the car in gear. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it just the injectors?

Amazing! Thank you very much, this rattle had me stumped. I guess it isn't too big of a deal, might get it taken care of at the next oil chance. I really appreciate your reply.

Do you think it's worth fixing ASAP, or leaving it be for now?

wow the first video was LOUD.......before i did my valve cover gasket replacement, the sound was similar to first post second video but without the 'ktak ktak' sound :P. After replacing the valve cover gasket, 6 plug tube seals, 2 internal O rings, cleaned both VVTi solenoids, the engine is quiet now AND the engine seems to rev better and more responsive. I think cleaning the solenoids improved that.....and no more valve cover leaking oil

Check out this video broski

I also have a knocking one on the channel (find it if you want to see it). But I talk about the implications of having this vacuum pump noise and fixes.

Great video! Subscribed. Had some of those issues over the years with our 2014. Not looking forward to doing the shocks and water pump on the 17 and 19, but hopefully that's a while away. I really have no idea what i'll buy when the times comes to replace the GS, these are excellent cars

In my research I noticed both the shocks and water pump for the 2016+ were less likely to fail. They did update the shocks for the 2016+ so there might be some merit to that observation, not so sure about the water pump. But here is to wishful thinking
