Climate Control Error
Good morning all,
I experienced this issue a couple of weeks ago after my car battery died. After jumping my car battery my information screen flipped out and then all functions of the information screen was grayed out and under the climate control tab it said " Climate Control Error, Please contact your dealership". The issue ended up being the radio unit that has to be replaced. Prior to going to the dealership to find out what exactly it was, I had tested all the fuses and replaced them all to still find the error message. I found out from the dealership, that the radio unit controls the information screen. Once I replaced it I reconnected the battery to the car and turned the car over to idle and let all the indicators in the dash to come on. I cycled that process a couple of times before turning the car on completely. After I turned the car on the error went away and everything has been working as normal. Below is the unit that I replaced. The dealership wanted 3.5k to replace, but I ended up spending just over $500 and 30 mins of my time to replace. NOTE: when replacing the radio unit make sure that the model type number matches the model number in the lower left hand corner of the radio just below the driver side temperature control button. IE: in the link below it shows P10819.
