Its funny because I actually run a small business where we lease out small machines to businesses that has to do with industrial hygiene. It wouldn't be profitable for us if we just sold the machines for a one time ordeal. But the profit also pays for monthly upkeep and maintenance of the machines as they cannot be operated unless maintained diligently.

But idk maybe the sub system is a good way of getting drivers to try out different options that would otherwise never be there if they opted out

If you have to be this close to start and the engine shuts off when you open the door, what good does it do? Unless you want a chat in the heat and wait for the car to cool down.
you can start from the lexus app too. as for range, i found with my lexus i can do it with the fob from at least 100ft away.

Agreed, it doesnt run for long enough to make it worth it to use, and the engine also shuts off when you open the trunk...so it wont even run while you are loading it. Lexus and MB.

Yeah I always had to use the app when I had it. I could see my car from my office but could never start it with the fob. It'd be faster to pick up the fob and start it then logging into the app. I wouldn't say I'm more than 100ft away. I did a search and found this

".... Typically, afactory remote starter has around 30-feet of range, which requires you to be fairly close to your vehicle to start it."

Maybe they have Start+ for LC? I didn't even know this thing existed.
