How do I launch my 3gs awd
I wanna beat other cars at the light but im not too familiar with using the sport shifter or how to even launch my car the most efficient way. I have a 2007 lexus gs350 awd. Could an experienced fellow aid me in my quest to prove that the GS is street worthy
Just leave it in drive and bring the RPMs up to around 1500 with your foot on the brake, then release the brake and floor the gas when ready.
Just make sure to pick on the base model economy cars so you have a chance to win lol

gs350 awd is faster to 60 and quarter mile than a gs460 lol
Its slower than the RWD 350 lmao. Its pretty funny when guys think that the AWD in their lexus makes it a GTR or Evo. It doesnt work like that.
You're gonna cite some caranddriver or motortrend article while I'm sourcing times from real life drivers.
Why is citing some car magazine useless??? Because until 2019, they were using the incorrect testing method for 0-60. Bet you didnt know that lol
When I started recording times for my 460, the only 3GS that could keep up to 60 were the 450h, and they couldnt hold till the quarter mile either. So the 350 definitely doesnt have a chance.
The GS350 AWD is heavier than the 460, has less HP and MUCH less torque, So unless were breaking the rules of physics, it doesnt stand a chance lmaoo
Take those heavy wheels off and you might win some races lol

I wanna know how to get the best possible launch in a 3gs. I have the AWD model but whether you have that, RWD or a gs460, Im interested in how you use your sport shifter to get the fastest launch. If I'm at a red light next to some guy in a infiniti or bmw I wanna atleast surprise them lol.

by post #2 i hope you dont mean the guy that told me how to accelerate a vehicle. That guy clearly haa something against the AWD model

I'm not interested in your negative *** replies. I only wanted to know if there a specific way to launch the 3gs and or how you guys launch yours to get the best possible acceleration. Other than that idc about your ****ty 460 or how it relates to my 350. If you don't have anything positive to say then mind ya business 💯
Good luck with your ****ty 350

Look, you can flail around all you want, working the shifter, TC on/off, whatever, it's not gonna make any difference. The engine doesn't have enough torque to spin all 4 wheels at launch so it's best to just power brake it to about 2-3K rpms, then just release the brake and nail if. That helps to keep it from bogging off the line. The trans will shift at redline or close to it so you can't gain anything by shifting it yourself. Not sure what else you're wanting to do.
GS460 owners do not want to admit that GS350 AWD launched properly can run some good times. For drag racing its all about the launch, if you have a strong launch you can get great results. Traction is action!
To launch an AWD hard you have to load the convertor while on the brakes. Then just release the brakes and you should be able to chirp or spin all 4 wheels at the start.
This guy ran a 13.5 1/4 time
This other guy whos a member here btw with us ran a 14.1 on his modded GS460, mind you the non-US 460's are detuned and slower then US 460's. Also both cars are on the exact same drag strip, so both sea elevation is the same.
