Default Low profile tires on GS460??

Do you have to put low profile tires on the GS460?? I know they are better for performance but tend to be rough and noisy on crappy roads, and we have plenty of them! Probably need to replace tires by end of summer, just planning ahead.. thanks!

You don't have to. You *can* put any size tires you want on your car...it's a matter of whether you should, and by most accounts, you shouldn't.

Simply putting higher profile tires on the same rims results in increasing the outside diameter. This means deviation from the designed/programmed specifications. It will affect the speedometer, gas mileage and drivetrain and braking stresses and potentially fall outside of design specs to the point of rubbing.

It's considered best to follow the manufactures recommended tire sizes. If it's something you really want to chase down, there is the option to get smaller diameter rims, such as the 17" GS350 ones.

You might do best to research tire options with ride being a top consideration.

I'm running 225/35/19 upfront and 275/30/19 in rear. Not too bad.
