Default Seat garnish sources?

I'm interested in updating the interior of my '07 with the silver-colored seat garnish pieces from the 2008 and newer 3GS, but it seems that the price has jumped dramatically from the parts distributors (what used to be $17/ea (x4) is now $110-$225 (x4!). I tried calling the Lexus dismantler in Sacramento, and they weren't interested in selling the garnish / clip pieces individually, just whole seats. Anyone know where I might get some at a reasonable price ...?

I believe these are the parts (need one of each part number for each front seat):

Seat clip update (2008+):
72993-30150 (x2)
72994-30040 (x2)

Thanks!

Edited to add:

Here is a thread showing what I am talking about:

And here is a thread from 2009 when the parts were still $17/each:

Why not paint the ones you have.

There is a bit of a texture difference, and I don't think I can match the dark silver color at the hardware stores I have around here. Thanks for the suggestion though ...!

I thought about doing the same.. I took a look at a GS in my local scrap yard, and noticed that you have to remove the seat back in order to access 2 screws that hold it in. I wish I had taken pictures, but I became nervous when I couldn't successfully remove the seat back properly without breaking anything.

If you have any wrecked GS' in your town, I would start there. Experiment with them to learn how everything is put together, and how to take it apart. They shouldn't charge more than $3/$4 each for all 4 pieces.

I would paint them, if theres a texture you can easily sand through it. Or use a thin layer of bondo if its super difficult to sand through. Then use a high build primer over that, then paint to any color or you can even wrap it.

The second thread I posted has some directions, looks like moving the seat forward and then tilting the back forward as much as you can will allow access the three straps, then you can get to the two Phillips screws that secure the back of the seat trim. Once that comes off the screws holding the clips on should be pretty easy to access. If you are working on a junk yard car with no power, getting to the straps and screws would probably be a pain.
