This might be a dumb question. Everything I've read shows bleeding the brakes and removing the brake bleed line when replacing brakes on a gs350.

On my other cars I've always just used a clamp to push the pistons back flush in the caliper.

are you not able to do that with a gs350 or is bleeding the brakes required every time you do a brake job?

 

You can push in the pistons into the brake caliper normally, just like any other car. The issue is when you decide to bleed the brakes, the abs system will not allow you to fully bleed the system. You will need a techstream and through the options open the abs valve. Or take it to the dealer.

What I did, I swapped out the pads with out bleeding the lines. But I emptied the brake fluid in the reservoir using a turkey baster, I just vacuumed the old brake fluid, and poured in new fluid. After time the old fluid mixes with the new, and well its best to do this method atleast 2 times. It doesnt take long, and super fast

 

I believe you need to unscrew the cap on the brake reservoir before you clamp the pistons back flush.
