Default Drivers Control Panel Not Working... PLEASE HELP (FIXED)

Hello, I have a 2006 Lexus Gs300 AWD. So far the car has been plagued with electrical demons since I bought It. Anyway. I have one more problem that need sorted out. The Drivers Control Panel (Drops down, has fuel door opener, power mirrors, and other things.) Does not work. No matter how many different panels I try, they all seem to not work. They do not Illuminate and none of the buttons work. I have done everything thing from a new panel, to a whole new assembly, nothing. I have gotten 1 function to work, but through complete accident. I was measuring the voltages on the power board (Not the one with the buttons, the one that direct the power from the pigtail to the ribbon cable.) I crossed two on the metal pins with my Meter, and the head light washers fired. This repeated every time I tried it. So being that I have an all new board(With the same features mind you) What is causing the board to be responsive? It has power to it (I know all the boards I tried weren't bunk, it has power to the end of the ribbon cable)
Somethings to note.
-The "FUEL OPEN" 10A fuse has no power to it
-"PANEL" fuse has power
-I recently put a new headunit in, the old one had the surrounding buttons not working issue (Are these issues related some how?)
-most of the wires in the pigtail have power (not sure if they are supposed to have power)
Please help, this makes my head spin

Do you know if your car has ever been in a flood, or may have had rat issue? These cars are pretty much reliable and your issues are not common. There was a few members many years ago that had issues with the left side/driver side fuse panel. For some reason corrosion worked its way there and shut off things like the trunk and few others. The dealer replaced the entire fuse box under warranty

I would take your car to a mechanic that specializes in electronics, and that would be able to chase your gremlins. Basically he will need to print out a diagram of the window switch and trace the main wires, all the way to the source thats not powering up.

I would hate to tell you to go to the dealer, because stuff like this can ramp up prices especially at the dealer. If you find a tech who will take time and properly diagnose thats great but money just suggest you slap parts in hopes of a cure.

Ok, so my original panel had a water ring around the backside of the board, so I knew it was shot. A couple days ago a, I ripped pretty much the entire dash open, and traced the wires from the panel, I found that on The 2006 models, The Dark Blue, blue, and black wires going to the harness "LA2" had burnt the connectors and pins (The harness has a good 70 wires in it...) So I cleaned it with a brush and electrical cleaner annnnnnnd, two of the pins were so brittle they broke off... Yesterday, I clipped the two wires that had no pins, connected them (PROPERLY) and BOOM, panel illuminates and everything works. Keep in mind the disassemble probably took 2 hrs (Lexus doesnt mess around with there wire loom and tape job) So I guess my message to anyone with electrical problems on a Lexus, get all three electrical diagrams off the internet, take a coupe hours and trace the wires all the way back, and "fix" what needs it. Do it right, solder it nice (Or crimp) put it back the way it was supposed to be, and you just might save your self a trip to the dealership, and in my case, probably about 500$+ dollars for the lexus approved fix(Probably would have been a new wiring harness both ways, from engine bay to junction box, to panel), I got this car cheap because of the electrical demons(WAY under market) and with probably about 300$ (New control panel and Headunit + plus some wire, connectors, and fuses) It an be done, and it was WELL worth my time.

Hi, i am having the same issue with my new to us GS 350. When I bought it the radio/tpms did not work. I unhooked the negative terminal just to reset everything and then now the drop down panel does not have power. Can you give me info on what you did to fix your car?

Thanks,

Andrew
