Default Polyurethane Stabilized Bar Bushing

My 2009 RWD GS350 needs new front stabilizer bar bushings. I was just going to throw replacement OEM ones in, but came across these;

I remember poly bushings were a popular “upgrade” for 2ND gen GS’s, but was wondering if anyone had any experience with these on a 3rd gen.

For those saying to just upgrade the entire bar, I had f sport sways on my 2006, and while a worth while upgrade, I rather not go through the hassle of installing another set on a car again.

If the cars a daily driver I would stick to oem, poly bushings need to be lubed more often. If they are not lubed they make noises

Figured id update this, since I’m “working” from home, I thought I’d install them today while chasing over my summer wheels and tires, and they are definitely a worthwhile “upgrade” if your current sway bar bushings already need replacement. I’m sure the better handling is due primarily fro mswitching the tires, bjt even then, it feels more planted than before I put the snow tires on.

However, make sure to use the bushing that is for a 27.2mm diameter. I also bought a 10 pack of “prothane super grease”, same grease that I used on poly bushings in my 2002 GS, and they are, for now, silent.

I read somewhere that polyurethane bushings give a harsh ride on uneven ground. I'm a little worried that going with these would ruin the ride of my GS.

Ride comfort will change when you replace the springs, and shocks. Poly bushings will tighten suspension joints, if you replace the sway bar bushing it will tighten swaying into turns. Poly is great, and very durable. But its too stiff in that they require lube, if your only doing a swaybar or a few joints go for it. But if you do a complete overhaul with poly then after time it gets annoying. Because it will squeak
