Default Headlight problem

I have a 2011 GS 350 all-wheel-drive. The driver side headlight went out. I purchased a new lightbulb a pair of lightbulbs and put them in. The passenger side lights up but the driver side does it I thought that I maybe damage the lightbulb so I swapped the lights to see if it works in the opposite light. Both bulbs are good but the driver side doesn’t light up so I was wondering if I had a electrical problem or did a really go bad or something. I found a fuse to the driver side headlight but the fuse is still good. I swapped the fuses out from the left to the right and it work.. So I’m trying to figure out if anybody else had a problem with this on this generation of GS And what did he have to do to fix the problem.

The ballast may be bad. Swap it with the passenger side. If it follows, then you know the ballast is bad.

Ballast is on its way out. Shouldn't cost too much to replace.

The light fixtures on third gens aren't completely water tight, so the ballasts tend to go bad. Not to hijack this thread, but has anyone attempted to seal them?

Yea, the ballast may be bad.
But on second thought, u could change to all in one led light.
Speaking of which, the lights that came with my GS are the most horrible ever. On a quick flash, it feels like I ll be waiting for the light to beam out.
I have ordered led lights to change mine. Quick response and 6500k too.
