Default Which Jack Stands?

Hey everyone, I need to jack my car up and the pinch weld is creating complications for jack stand placement. I've searched the forums and it seems some people place their stands under the control arm. For those that place them under the control arm, do you have any pics of where exactly? Also, for those who use jack stands under the pinch welds, you would obviously need a deep cutout in the jack stand to go around both sides of the pinch weld, can you share what model jack stand you use successfully under the pinch weld?

Thanks a lot!

I wedge mine between the body and the aluminum bracket with the 2 bolts on the lower control arm bushing.

tghw,

do you use either of those on your jack stands? I just want to make sure I order what will work and not have to send things back.

I would avoid lifting your car or putting jackstands on the pinch welds. Theres an actual video of a guy lifting his white 4GS GSF, at the pinchwelds and as soon as he has it lifted, the rocker panel, the door and caved in that whole area. Its just not strong enough!
