Default Direct Injection Ticking

I have done some forum research and conclude the ticking noise from the engine back is from the direct injection system which is normal. What I can't find out is if that ticking noise can be heard from the interior. There is a ticking sound from inside the cabin that can be heard and not sure if it's the result from the direct injection system. My car is a 2006 GS300 3rd gen with over 210k KM on the odometer.

Hopefully someone and share their wisdom on this subject and help me out.

Thanks.

How is your oil level? Check if its low or car is consuming more oil than normal.
I will also check the valves and perform adjustment

How is the sound deadening barrier on the underside of the hood? If its missing that will more likely quiet down the sounds of the engine.

I have always kept the oil level up. The car does consume a lot of oil, more than normal. At least more than last year but there is no pool of oil on the parking spot. I will have the valves looked at by a professional. Thanks

I'll check the hood for loose items in the engine bay and check the exhaust heat shields for loose bolts. Thank you.

a good trick, is while engine is on, open the hood and have a long screwdriver and check where the noise is coming from. you can check each injector to make sure they all produce the same sound which means its normal. check other components. here is a video:
