Default Opinions on used "performance" parts

First, THIS IS NOT A CLASSIFIED AD.

OK, that being said, the question that I have is if it's worth it to try and sell a few performance parts that I have for my 2011 GS 350. I have a set of the lowering blocks for the front end, the K&N cold air intake and a Medallion axle-back exhaust. The parts are in good shape but it feels like shipping would definitely kill me on the exhaust and I'm not sure what interest anyone would have in the other parts. I hate to send these things to recycling but if there is no real demand for them I won't have much choice.

Opinions welcome.

I think selling any "bigger" car parts, in general, is a nightmare. I've lost a lot of money in shipping because I can't get an accurate quote, they change service, or you have to ship via freight. It's probably best to sell locally, craigslist, or one of those apps like 5miles, etc.

I'm actually in central Ohio. I wouldn't mind getting a few bucks out of this stuff at least since the exhaust alone cost like $700.

Yeah, I've been down the same path with larger parts. I will probably look locally too but these cars aren't all that common locally so I'm wondering if I should try to cast a wider net.

I've heard people have had good luck shipping thru greyhound buses. Never done it myself though.

Greyhound is supper easy just wrap it up with anything you have. Craigslist it someone local may want it.

Post office has flat rate boxes for the small heavy stuff

How did you like the exhaust - good tone and fitment? I've been thinking of getting an aftermarket setup for mine but just haven't done all of the research yet. My IS is super loud so that usually satisfies my need to wake the dead

If that setup fits an 08 then I might be able to help you avoid shipping! I was actually down in Reynoldsburg yesterday

I'd ask someone at your place of business if you can use the company UPS account, which typically have incredible rates, and just pay outright at time of creating shipping label (its definitely an option, but may go against company policy).

Also, with that being said...how much do you want for your exhaust. I'm in the market for one and could send you a shipping label so you dont have to come out of pocket for shipping...just be responsible for the actually packaging and pickup from UPS. Feel free to PM me.

I actually like it a lot. It was a good fitment and good tone. Not too loud, just right. I would think it would fit an 08 since it's a 3GS.
