airbag light
My airbag light has been on for about a year & half im out of warranty....and found this link in the 2nd gen is forum
it shows that the airbag connector comes loose triggering the srs light. It also shows that right under the steering wheel there is a yellow connector that comes loose & if pushed back in the srs light goes off. Does anybody have a video or pics showing how to get that cover off under the steering wheel. i cant seem to find any visable screws to attempt to take it off & have a look
I took some pictures while I was under there.The yellow harness is like the one for the steering wheel airbag (if anyone install the steering wheel dampener).
I didn't do much under the dash. I moved the harness around and checked for any loose connection. The harness wasn't strain or tied down like ChumpusRex posted. I just might have bumped it and pulled the harness when I worked under there previously.
Finally reconnect the harness to the airbag. The airbag light went off. I know disconnecting the battery didn't take the light off because I've done it before a couple times. Let's see if the light comes back.

Take a flathead and get under the yellow tab to pop it up and pull the harness off.

There's 4 bolts to remove. The last one is behind the airbag cover. What's your DTC for the srs light? The yellow clip on the airbag connector is a lock clip. That's not going to come loose unless its damaged.
