Default RE: Headlight Kits

Hello all,
Would anyone have any experience with the product "OPT7", specifically their headlight kits? Also, why are most headlight kit manufacturers only reference high beam kits and not low beam? Personally, my Lexus high beams leave much to be desired and I never use them.

Newbie with kits..

Why not get an LED kit? I like my simdevanma kit. You can also get it on Amazon and it dims with your DRLs.

Google coupon code for it and you're good to go.

I've done a tutorial a long time ago about how to use HIDs in your high beams area and keeping DRLs on (it's a PITA with a lot of wiring). With the LED kit it's an AIO kit, no extra wires and no extra fuss about it.

My capacitor exploded on me during a short drive once and the smell, sound, and look of the capacitor made me not want to use them ever again for my high beam applications.

Default LED Kits

The Simdevanma and OPT7 seem similar however it appears neither company's manufacture LED replacement's for Low beam headlamp: HID-D4S.

The D4S bulb style is only used for OEM HID installations, so that will be why you can't find LED replacements for that type. That being said, if you're just looking to upgrade or change your lighting you can just put in any set of D4S bulbs that fit your needs. You will want to go with a reputable manufacturer - they're not cheap, but you get the quality you pay for. D4S Philips 4300Ks are typically what you find in the stock setup, but you can also go with D4S Philips Ultinon 6000Ks or D4S Osram CBIs if you want the white/blue look to the lighting.

Sorry, I thought you were speaking about replacing your highbeams, not your low-beams.

Robert is right, with replacing low beams, your best bet is using D4S HIDs, unless you are adventurous like one of our members on here (tunedis95).
