Thoughts on seafoam
I know the product has been discussed here before but I wanted some opinions. I have an 07 with 95k miles, runs with no issues. I plan on keeping the car for a while. Should I go ahead and use a can anyway? Thanks.

My personal experience with seafoam is that in fact it did improve a rough idle I was experiencing, however, I ran 4 to 5 tank of fuel with 1 o
z. of seafoam to every gallon.
If your Lexus is running well with no issues, I would forgo seafoam treatment.

Im a fan of the stuff! I did make huge smoke clouds, the way I used it.
I let the motor heat up and with a small vacuum line I attached it to the blank cap port on top rear of the manifold. I let it suck the seafoam to the point it almost stalled out, and I did this until I finished about almost half a bottle. Then I let the car sit so it can soak the seafoam, then after 20min I repeat the seafoam until I completed 1.5 cans of the stuff. The other half of the bottle i put into the gas tank. Take the car on the highway and go heavy on the throttle.
Also you might want to remove your throttle body, 4 bolts and spray some cleaner on it and clean it out throughly inside and out. I would also spray some map sensor cleaner on the map sensor. This would also be a good time for fresh oem spark plugs. I seen a very noticeable improvement

Techron, Redline and BG44K are the only fuel system cleaners I would ever use. Have owned dozens of cars and these are the only ones that improved throttle response and idle quality. I used Seafoam years ago on many of my collector cars but would not use it in a newer vehicles.
