Default 2006 gs300 alternator

How can you tell if its the battery or the alternator? Car just cut off while I was parking. Had the battery recharged at autozone for an 1hr and battey took charge. once i put the battery back in car started, but when I turn on AC or lights, I get the battery warning light, so Im thinking its the alternator not keeping battery charged, right?

Welcome to CL! Yeah, bad alternator sounds like a reasonable assumption. To be sure though, you should have the battery and alternator load tested

The battery is used for starting the engine and running electronics when the engine is off. Once the engine is running the alternator takes over and all electronics are run off that.

After you've sorted out the problems, I would stay away from Autozone and their "battery charging" systems. Nothing but bad experiences with those incompetent folks.
