Default HELP!! My 06 gs is not responding!!

I was sitting in my car and after a while battery needed a jump because it wouldn't start so I mistakenly put the negative to positive and now all I get is my headlights, interior security roof lights, my start button glows green, I can turn on the reading light but nothing else work and it won't start not even my remote works. I've changed the battery but still the same please help.

There is a chance you have damaged your ECU by connecting the battery the wrong way. Try checking every single fuse and replacing any that are broken. Disconnect the battery, turn your headlights on and hold the brake pedal down for approx 2 minutes to drain any residual charge out of your cars electronic systems. This will reset the ECU which may help with your issue. If that doesn't help you may need to run diagnostics on it and see if you get any error codes that can help show your problem.

Good luck mate. let us know how you go. Something simple that can always be a drama, is not having your battery terminals tight, make sure you do that, plenty of people forget that, I have been guilty.

Sorry to hear. Short of making sure all you fuses are fine, including the big black ones that need to be checked with a multi-meter I can't help. It is not uncommon for an ECU to be damaged or go into a "limp" mode when a battery is hooked up backwards. Do you have any error lights on the dash?

Check the fuse layout in your owners manual if you have one. Starter fuse or EFI fuse could be fried.

Best possible outcome, better than a bricked ECU. Fortunately you have a well built and cleverly engineered vehicle, the fuses done their job as a sacrificial failsafe. I would try not driving it until you have replaced that other fuse. Go through the procedure I mentioned above to reset the ECU and hopefully everything goes back to normal.

HI. Will this technique reset TPS warning also? (Just a stab in the dark) Vehicle is a 2006 GS 4.3.

There is a chance it may, and for the 5 minutes of work it is worth a shot. Remember though, if it resets the error it will likely reappear before too long, it is only a temporary fix and you may need to fix the actual issue.
