Default Gold GS 3rd generation

Hi I just joined. I'm interested in purchasing a 3rd generation Lexus GS. Been browsing the forums for a while and it appears that the 2006 has many problems.

Anyway, I'm looking for the gold GS. I saw it while working one day and begin searching for it hard.

Finally it popped up for about 17k with 85k miles on it. It's an 08 btw.

That price seems a bit high but my question. Are the gold GS a more harder color to find that's why the price is that high??

I would hope to be in a GS by mid summer the latest

Thanks for all replies

Gold is a rare color and I would have probably bought it when I had first bought my Black Sapphire metallic instead if i saw it while searching 7 years ago.. In my driving experience, I have only seen about a handful of them. I see a lot of black, white, and red ones.

ive seen a lot of black white red blue and silver. once in a full moon I will catch a gold one. I was thinking of repainting my car a bronze gold.... I just think it's so classy!

FWIW, I own an 06' and I haven't taken it to the dealership for any engine problems besides the regular maintanence schedules. (timing belt water pump trans fluid flush, etc).

Gold doesn't seem to be a preferred color. That is why it's rare. The interior will be tan so there is an overkill of beige IMO.
I see a better deal on a 2011 with 68K miles for $18K at Lexus of Latham NY. Not sure where you are in NY but I'd make a trip to get the final year 3GS fully loaded with Mark Levinson Audio

My boss drove a gold GS and he was over 65 yrs old. GOLD is for old folks. That's his response for a rare color. Oh, he had his golf bag in the trunk.

Take a look at "cerius88" on instagram. He's full kitted it up with t-demand goodies and imho one of the hardest 3gs out there. Car was already a stunner when it was black.
