Well my first thought would be a loose wire behind that panel, or a loose or broken solder connection. Are the back lights working at night?

yes taillights work. Just the rear shade afs and Parkin sonar sys. Also the 2 display screens on tach and fuel/temp gauge are also not working. I'm befuddled. I need help, does anyone know where the fuses are for those three systems on the top row of the drop-down box ????

I think speedkar9 is asking if the lights on the top row of buttons light up (backlit). Maybe check the fuse for those system. Maybe one of them pop.

They do light up. Had to jump in the car and check it out.

fuse 16, 24 - parking sensor - fuse box located right side kick panel and left side kick panel
fuse 23 - afs - fuse box located inside, left side kick panel
fuse 90 - rear shade - fuse box in trunk
