Sharp Turn Music Turns Off
I got the head unit out today and did some house keeping. The main cable running from the head unit to the Vaistech brain was for some reason running between the radio unit and the metal bar (the typical no no when wiring in that area). No visible damage on the cable but unplugged the Vaistech and re-ran the cables below the metal bar and back to the head unit. I spot checked all other wires for the radio and visibly everything looks good. I did a bunch of jiggling and could not get the radio to cut off a single time. So no reason to believe there are any additional issues, besides the cable running between the head unit and the metal bar, at this time. I will update down the road again to see if this was the resolution to my radio cutting off and spitting out CDs.
My radio seems to turn off repeatedly as well. But I have stock everything. 2006 GS430. I've never had any work done to it other then an interlock breathalyzer machine for 6 months. Could that have possibly interfered with the back cable you guys speak of while the installation was being done? It had to do with the ignition. But I've never taken that radio unit out so i don't know exactly what that looks like back there. Only happens when I raise the volume up past 20. If that helps.

Viastech is aftermarket bluetooth or phone integration. If your car doesnt have this then I wouldnt worry about it.
I made a video on fixing my navi screen, with instructions on how to take the radio out, which would at least get you to all the connectors on the back.
Note, that the connectors are slightly different if you have Mark Levinson or not.

I didn't take any pictures. I'm sure there are some floating around. Here a screen shot from a install video. You can see the bar kind of. It rests against the bottom of the radio unit.

I have the brain unit wedged down into some free space under the ashtray.
From what I've gathered, there are two scenarios here. One where the unit needs to be replaced and another where a wire is pinched or needs to be adjusted. I would take it out and while it's on, jiggle wires and move stuff around and see what happens.
The cable I adjusted was part of the Vaistech unit, not stock. When I installed it, for whatever reason, I ran it between the radio unit and that bar. If you do not have anything aftermarket behind your radio, there is a 99% chance that there's nothing running between the unit and bar for your setup.

Very helpful video. Thank you so much bro! Again plz share what the conductive ink is for. I don't have that problem yet with the touch screen. But I'm interested in knowing why you did that. I think my problem is somewhere else. It's just my volume that pops when I put it up past 20 smh. Never happened to me before either until 2 days ago. I disconnected my battery for a lil while and it still does it. I'll have to see.
As far as the problem in my video, my touch screen stopped working, so nothing i pressed on the screen would work. It's a pretty common issue with the IS and GS and it is because the circuits in the ribbon cable that connects the digitizer (the thing that detects your presses) fails. You can repair the circuit using the conductive ink pen. It's worth trying before replacing the digitizer entirely which can lead to its own issues. It hasnt failed me since! *knock on wood*
Unfortunately there is no button on the steering wheel that kills the radio for a random amount of time between 1-5 minutes and ejects all CDs.
The good news is, since I've moved that cable, no random shut downs! I will report back again in the coming weeks.

I do not. As stated in my earlier post, I did not take any pictures. However, that should be irrelevant unless you had an aftermarket unit installed which you previously confirmed you didn't. The cable is just like a thick aux cable.
