I need some help in wiring up my replacement alternator (generator). When I removed the plug, I used a pair of channel locks and accidentally pulled two of the wires out. Now I am not sure how they go back together. It's a 50/50 guess, but I don't want to guess as I don't know what will happen if I guess wrong. I have access to the TIS website for two days and have downloaded the wiring diagrams, but they aren't making sense.
There are three wires, white, black and yellow. I know where White goes on the connector (1, on the picture) but black and yellow are on 2 & 4. Wiring diagram is showing pink going to alternator but there is no pink in my wiring
Hopefully you've already solved this but just in case....
I have a 2003 GS430 and broke the connector as well. The diagram you're showing is a 4 wire and in your description you're talk about 3 wires so not sure.
I would suggest going to the Lexus dealer and ask for a replacement ALT terminal or check on line at lexusparts.com and try to match up the diagrams to what you have. I have the factory Electrical Manual for 2003 and it matched my wiring in my car.
You can also request to purchase a 'pigtail' which is what they call the wires replacements needed if you break them. Just want to see the diagram and it may show you what you need to know. Once I had a part number for the connector I googled it and found items on ebay etc with diagrams (after you google it, you can view ALL or just the pictures videos etc) and then I worked it out from there...
