New to forum/Lexus in need of wheel opinion
I just bought my first Lexus. 2008 GS 460.
I am thinking of doing a swap on my stock wheels and have them pvd coated bright chrome.
How small of wheels can fit on a rwd GS 460 without hitting calipers, etc?
I want to have a set of wheels with blizzaks on them for winter but I'm having a hard time deciding what to do.
I love how 20's look but I don't think I want to go any bigger than 18's.
any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
So basically I plan to keep stock wheels but also need a set for winter.

Welcome to the 460 club, we're a group of few Just here to welcome, I'm not 100% on the wheel size. I'd say no less than 15's, but I'd prob stick to 16's to be safe. Better wait for the pros to pitch in though.

Yes. I was inquiring on smaller for a possible winter wheel setup. Then I'd keep stock for summer. I am still trying to gather info and such as well as looking at wheel threads. Roads in Iowa suck t9 much for 20's.
Thanks for chiming in!

Last I checked 18s were the minimum for our cars. I'm pretty certain it's the reason why the GS430, GS350, GS350, and GS450h's were all equipped with 18s rather than the 17s on the GS300s.
I could be wrong, so don't quote me on it. The lowest is 17s FOR SURE. 15s and 16s are way too small for our cars lol.

If it's anything like the gs350 with 4 piston front calipers you may not be able to go smaller then 18. 17s could rub, 16s will not work. If I were you I'd put the blizzak on the stock wheels and spend the winter finding a rim you love for summer time

Thank you! The calipers do seem large. I just don't want to buy something that doesn't fit.
