I did see an 3rd gen gs430, I know that engine is pretty much bulletproof, thank you guys for the input!
2006 GS430 are even harder to find with low miles... Off topic but i did find (2) 2007 GS350 both Silver with 21k and 31k miles both under 22k.... clean carfax... So deals are out there just have to patient
Even though these engines are practically bullet proof, try to find one with good service history. My '08 had 38k on the clock and I got it for $24k. Just happened to pick it up the same day it was traded in by a little old lady so the deal was awesome. It's about to hit 100k this month and other than regular service has been incredible. Make a friend at a dealership and have them keep you posted. Most trades they will try to move immediately for a strong discount, after a few days they bump it up to street value.
I will be looking, but I'm not planning on buying a new car til spring, I want to save enough money to buy one with low miles, and a good history, it'll come down to a GS, IS350 or ls430. Also need to drive them all and see how I feel
I have a 1999 400ga black/tan 240,000.... runs great.. thought I'd upgrade 2008 350gs.... dog car.. that v8 on the 400 is excellent.. I could not find a black/tan 460gs within 1500 miles....
I did end up getting a gs460, one thing that's been cool is it has no rattles whatsoever, and I live where it's cold, I know the first owner brought it in to the dealer three times for the rattles early in its life and I guess they permanently fixed them, I wish I knew what they did so I could tell everyone :/

Is this true at every Lexus dealership? Why would they try to move it immediately for a strong discount if they can get more a few days later?
this might sound weird, but I have an 07 GS350 the only mods I have is an F-sport intake with a little additional mod of my own to the intake box, and also an APEXI throttle controller. I was coming from LA to San Diego on Saturday and this BMW M4 zoomed past me and just for fun I told my girl I was going to race the M4. me and the M4 raced from LA to San Diego and the most surprising thing was that at around 80mph to 125mph the M4 couldn't pass me he had to let off the gas he probably got scared and this happened more than 3 times through the course of the ride that night. I could tell that he was shocked. although probably if he stayed on the gas he would eventually have left me but that really surprised the **** out of me and we both stayed between 85 and 120 through out the whole drive. I love this gs350 thinking about getting a PPE headers but I hate noisy cars. So to the original post if you get the GS350 you will be surprised on how underrated it is. go for it. I Personally love the looks of the 3gs than the 4gs. but damn I saw this GSF in person that car is gorgeous than any regular/fsport GS even any 5series especially with the fact that the dealer had it lowered on 20's and blacked out. I wished I had 103000 laying around somewhere. if you stay in San Diego area go to Lexus of El Cajon you will see it there
