replaced and changed my interior carpet color-pics
Hello all,
I wanted to share with the forum what I recently did to my 06 GS430. My car is mercury silver metallic with gray leather interior. I bought the car as a CPO in Oct of 2010 when it had 28k miles on the clock and it now has 109k. From Day 1 I wondered what it would look like with black carpet versus the light gray it came with. Due to some factory seat issues I was having and the fact that I was going to be replacing them I went ahead and replaced the carpet with a black oem set while I had the seats out.
I couldn't be happier with the look and I am glad that I finally did it. I had seen some posts on the forum wondering what it would look if it was changed so I wanted to share with the forum what the final product looks like.
thanks for looking

This looks great. The 2nd Gen IS 250/350 has the light gray interior with the dark carpet as well as a factory option. Just wish they included that with the 3rd Gen GS. How much would something like this cost?

That looks fantastic! - I might have to do this when I get some money to spare.
wmr71, I'm also kind of jealous of your seat covers - it looks like they haven't worn at all - my 350 is just about 4 years old but the leather is already fairly stressed looking, and creased, especially on that left driver's side cushion, is there anything special that you're doing to keep them looking so good?
(my car was 2 years old when I bought it and they were fairly stressed then, i'm just 125 lb so i'm not wearing them too much... and i do use lexol conditioner every couple of months, but it hasn't helped to restore it at all.)

Wmr71 that looks amazing! Truly looks two toned now. I have the same colors on my 350 and I have to say that the carpet looks hideous compared to black.
They were replaced as said in the OP, but if there are any tips/tricks to keeping them from getting creases I'd love to know. Then again I've almost got 80lbs on you so that doesn't help lol
