Gas Mileage plunge, surprise
So, I'm down a good 6-7 mpg recently and I can't figure out why. When I put the k&n intake on , I got about a 1.5mpg boost in hwy driving. Added the tanabe exhaust with no change. My only update would be fsport sways and 20" wheels. I started noticing the decline before I added the wheels, so it can't be all from that and I know damn we'll sway bars won't change my mpg. The filter only has about 3000 miles since install, no where near the recommended cleaning time. Anyone else ever experience a sudden loss in MPG and if so, what did you find?
PS my driving habits are the same [fast], no change in typical routes back and forth to work, etc etc.

here are the usual suspect.
1) Weather.
------- tire pressure. Cold winter air reduce tire pressure. Need to pump it up.
------- And than the intake sucking in cold air.
------- and the longer warm up time.
2) traffic.
3) driver's mood. get better mpg if driver is calm and steady driving
4) winter gas. Some state has summer and winter mix.
5) ethanol... thanks your big brother government putting more ethanol into the gas.
and different of 5mpg is kinda fall within the margin.

I'm waiting for parts to arrive for the VVT recall to be done and I'm not sure about the valve springs, need to have the dealer check that out and have them look into the water pump.

If I like my gas can I keep it?
I'll stop and pick up a bottle of seafoam for my next tank and see if that helps.
Thanks for the insight!
