Default New GS430 owner

I finally found my 3rd GS. Picked up a 2006 GS430 last Sunday, black with a light gray interior with every option (original sticker is in the car at 59K+).

New to the 3rd gen, but not to Lexus, I had a 1999 GS400 in the past and also a 2004 GS430 up until about a year and a half ago. I got a new job a year and a half ago where I drive 3-5K miles/month so I bought a Scion XB to use for work, then I replaced that with a Prius and had 2 different once in the last 13 months.

I can't explain in words how good it is to be back to a GS and have some power! I'm still getting used to going to the pump more often and spend much more money, but it's worth it.

Anyway, the GS is a one owner car, got it with 91K miles and already put 1K on in 4 days. It came with the 18's as well as a set of 17" Lexus wheels with Michelin snow tires which I've already put on.

Some pics:

Took it in for an oil change/inspection and decided to wax it today:

This is my old 2004, car was extremely clean

I need to get the timing belt and water pump taken care of within the next few months, so I need to start shopping around. The Toyota dealer I service at quoted me about $900.

Welcome, and enjoy the car! Definitely more fun than a 2GS imo

Congrats.... 430s are a rare breed with solid following. Those who buy them, don't buy them by chance, they know what they want and get it specifically.

Enjoy.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I was looking for quite some time. I actually looked at a couple 2G GS's in the last month as well, was keeping my options open.

Put about 500 miles on today, one tank being 396 miles. Filled up and the computer showed 27.4 and true calculation was 27.3MPG! Not bad for a 4.3L V8!!

I've already put 2000 miles on it in 8 days, I logged 1700 or so on fuelly averaging 24.2mpg.
