Oh well, glad you're okay.

I totalled my M5 last year and fractured my spine, but lucky to see another day and even luckier to walk another day.

But I still say this, I enjoy driving my Lexus more than any other car I own... mainly because it's just damn too reliable and I can throw it around without worrying about it costing me my life savings!

Wow, it's unfortunate stories to both of you, and I'm glad you both made it out in one piece.

Dellexus, It's very unfortunate what happened to your friends. My cousin recently passed away due to freak accidents. Oncoming car was being shot at by a rival gang or something, and drove on the opposite side of the road, ramming into my cousin at 100+ MPH. He died in the hospital and the only reason why his gf and passengers survived is that he swerved the car in a way that he took all of the impact.

P.S. You've picked probably one of the greatest platforms to bulletproof cars. This car's not indestructible, but it's damn near close to it! Some dude flew off the highway on this forum at 65+ and came out with no scratches. A customer of my fiancé's got rammed from behind by a semi truck at 40+mph, and her trunk looked like it barely got beaten into..... She repaired it, sold it, and got a 2013 GS though LOL.... She said she'd never gotten a car that survived such a hard impact like that before, and stood by her GS by getting an updated version.

My driver friend who died in the 5er died instantly as he was what the police officer said was that he was in half when they got him out and my other friend (the back seat passanger) died shortly after the accident. Their car hit a concrete block (part of a slip road, bridge type).

I miss them both so much, i keep remembering one time me and the driver playing halo and the xbox giving up on us and the cd getting fried.

And now everytime i go out i think about my kids, dont want them to grow up without a father.

In have owned BMW's in the past and in my opinion any car is more reliable then a bimmer.

On my 5er BMW warranty spent just over £18,500 just on warranty work.

In FL, BMW doesn't seem to favor warranty work too much, they'll try to avoid you like the plague if they hear the word warranty.... But they're the first there if you're wanting a new car.

There was actually a lawsuit on youtube, of a doctor, smashing up his m6 because of a class act that BMW did not want to warranty the car he had. They said he just had to suck it up and drive it as is, no refund no repairs, and BMW sadly WON.

You're a #1 dad, thinking about your children without a father, when you have children, you live for your kids, not for yourself .

You're not the only one though, my little cousin was literally my best friend since he was born. We've literally done everything together growing up, and after a while we had an outgoing, one of which i'd hope we could fix one day.... I never got the chance for that .

Like you, we played 360 till it RROD'd on us LOL..... We HAD such a closeknit brotherhood, that even when claiming warranty, it'd be down to taking turns packing the 360 together into the box to ship when we were kids... It's not a feeling you get over ever, but you just gotta move on and consider, that when you get old and die, you'll be reunited.

Iv had 2 Gs300 2 GS430 &2 GS450h if your looking for a GS around the budget that your looking at is caspian sky on auto trader is a nice one I had one off my Gs430 LPG and wish I had never sold it it was fantastic.

One thing I will say is that caspian sky witch his BLUE on the log book looks fantastical in the sun but on wet and dull days it's gray !! Just bare that in mind As it can be very disappointing if you buy it in the sun and don't see what it looks like on dull days with here in the UK is more often than not

I had LPG fitted to the last 430 I had I was fantastic MPG cost

The 430 real is bullet proof and it the top spec NO OPTIONS

I would be honest if I were buying a 430 again it would gave LPG straight away

If you want any advice text me 07792802627 UK

Guys quick question,
Does the emblem in the front mean that i wony be able to remove the front Lexus logo and change the grill?

Reason i ask is because i was thinking of removing the front grill and logo and putting a mesh on there.

All the Lexus GS430's i have found come with the same front logo.

;(

Also thinking of buying alloy wheels for the ride, what offsets should i look out for i.e for front and back minimum/maximum

The badge on the 430 is because of the adaptive cruise if you change the grill you can't use metal mesh I did buy a grill but sold the car before I fitted it so sold it to the guy who bought the car. It cost about £150 delivered from the USA to UK it was a Mesh grill like what comes on the 2GS sport and the 1IS aero kit.

Guys bought my GS430 2006.
Very very happy with the purchase, just got the side lights changed to 5000k side lights, 6000k reverse lights and tinted my rear lights (just the indicators & reverse though, not the full lights).

Wanted to upload some pics but wont let me through my phone ;(

There going for about £7k - £10k was looking at GS460's but throughout the whole UK there is only one which is up for grabs and that was out of my budget at £13k with 60k mileage.

Lol just checked Autotrader thats gone now

Theres literally 4 430's on sale and i bought one.

Now after driving the car i can understand why they are so rare, its a thumbs up from me for the Lexus considering all the cars i have owned in the past were BMW's.

Also filled up a full tank of fuel at £90 and got 245 miles out of it on local road driving (including heavy footed responses at times) no motorways/highways and has put a smile on my face considering my last car the 745Li took £145 for a full tank of fuel and used to get about 200 miles local driving. Very very impressed with the car, lived up to the expectations of Jap engineering.

The car is way smoother than my 745 and once the car is started i can hardly tell if its on due to the quietness of the engine.

Going to sign up with Lexus service packages so i can carry on with the cars Lexus history.
