Default Vossen CV3 with vibration issue

Hello guys.
I am not sure if you guys remember me but I posted thread about 1 month ago and got lots of good answers thank you so much for that. (regarding getting 20 inches vossen cv3)

I purchased wheels and tires package from carid.com and received yesterday(no local vossen dealer around Oklahoma city area). It looks good as what i expected and already getting tons of complements.

It's black machined finished CV3

20x9 235/35/20 front
20x10.5 275/30/20 rear with 4 nexen N7000 tires.

It runs smooth on local street but when I drive on highway?(55mph and up ) I can feel the slight vibration through out the handle, seat and brake padal.
I knew going from 17 inches wheels to 20 inches going to be little rough but this vibration is driving me crazy.
my friend has 09 IS250 with 20 inches but his car has no vibration at all.

I called carid and asked the what is the problem?
this is what the rep told me.
1. hub ring (already have them on)
2. torque check (already checked them)
3. balance again (should have done ready but did it again at pepboys paid 60 dollars)
4. go find hunter balance machine (none is oklahoma city and cost like 120 dollars)

Final answer send back to carid for return or exchange... FML (i have to pay for shipping)

I've already paid 80 dollars to exchanged TPMS from stock to vossen and now i have to sent back to carid? this is bull xxxx , before I do anything i just want to ask you guys who owns 20 inches wheel, is it normal to vibrate on some wheels? (mines are just little bit not too much)
I just paid over 3k and just want to get my stuff right.

I am happy when I look at them but when I drive them it makes me sad T-T

Please help me

Awd or rwd?

You sure you can't find someone with a hunter balancer? I've seen them in the smaller shops have them here in Houston.

I was going to recommend what TexasTaco suggested. Find a place who has a high speed on-the-car wheel balance. See if that helps. I'm getting mine done soon. I've always experienced vibrating issues with bigger wheels.

I have AWD on 20"s and had 275 with wobble - I went down to 265 and its smooth, just get my lil wobble from front rims that may have tiny dents (nyc is a warzone driving) but the take off speed wobble went away. I went with Nitto NT555 265/35/20 eBay shipped $365 both tires - not bad

You're not suppose to run a staggered setup on AWD vehicles.

Your center differential will go bad eventually and fail.

Very sorry about the issues you are experiencing. I also would recommend getting a High Speed Road Force Balance. Make sure the shop is using a Hunter 9600 or 9700 to properly balance your wheels. Make sure to also ask them to double check tires, many times defective tires can also cause vibrations. From what I've read, it seems it is only a balancing issue.

I think the tires may be the issue, as Nexen isn't a brand known for comfort. Another thing is your tire sizing is a bit off for an AWD. I believe you should be running a 275/30/20 rear to match the front.

I have the Nexen tire too and have the same vibration issues at highway speeds. Took it to the Lexus dealership and they said it was the tires.

Well just called vossen wheels and parkplace lexus in Plano TX

if you rolling diameter is not off by 3% I am in good hand but i am not a wheel and tranny expert so ... anyways my tire spec is 245/35/20 fronts and 275/30/20 rears only 0.27 inches different.

Earlier i posted my rear tire size wrong.

just want to get the vibration fixed now you are making me even more worried man~ kk

It's 285/25/r20 for rear tires.

Haha, sorry about that buddy. I just felt as if it was the tire sizes being out of spec, giving you the off-ness to it. Also you said you're running 35 series in the front and 30 in the rear..... last I checked that's another no-no on AWDs. I am not a AWD expert, never owned one and probably never will with FL weather. Just trying to help a fellow CL member out.

I've been running staggered on my lowered AWD for 60,000 miles with no issues. 235/35-20 and 265/30-20 Conti DWS.
